A closer look at Kim from Kim’s Ramyun
"We started Kims Ramyun to provide people with the authentic Korean experience. The concept is simple: we wanted people to have fun and enjoy eating ramyun," says owner and CEO Kim Young-Eun. He shares more about Kim's Ramyun.

What’s the history of Kim’s Ramyun?
It was actually a product of our original business, Kmall Philippines. It was one of the first Korean online stores in the Philippines. Kim’s Ramyun was launched in Sept. 1 this year.

Why did you choose the concept of Kim’s Ramyun
We wanted to bring the ‘cook-it-yourself Korean ramen’ experience to Philippines. It’s one of the easiest way to eat ramen, and is perfect for people who want to enjoy a comforting meal on the go. It also serves as a way to showcase our ramyun machines—the E-Cook and H-Cook—for interested buyers and franchisees.

What’s unique about Kim’s Ramyun?
Kim’s Ramyun is an experience. There is a noodle for everyone: whether you like spicy or mild, if you’re a child or an adult, you’ll find ramyun suited to your taste. There are 12 toppings available to make each order extra-special, too. Each visit and each ramyun is a unique experience, different from each customer.

Since Kim’s Ramyun is also inside our Kmall Philippines flagship store, people don’t just come for the ramyun. Ice cream is one of our best sellers. Like our noodles, we want people to have as much variety as possible, so we have a lot of different brands. Authentic Korean drinks are also available for those want to pair something refreshing with their snack or ramyun.

What’s in the future for Kim’s Ramyun?
In the near future, we’re expanding our menu to include more Korean street food. People can expect items like Sundae, Mandu, Gim, Korean Coffee, and many more.

We also want to bring the Kim’s Ramyun experience to the entire Philippines. By 2023, we will be open for franchise nationwide. For Kmall Philippines we continue to strengthen our wholesaling capacity. We plan to diversify our products for our resellers to help them stay competitive. Collaborations with ShowBT (SB19 management) and Photoism (photography studio) are also in the works. Apart from that, we’re aiming for ESG operation. Recycling is an important aspect of our business, and we want to do our best to hep save the earth.
