National Bureau of Investigation

A woman who is allegedly engaged in sex trafficking in Batangas has been arrested by agents of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).

The NBI identified her as Darrah Mae Grey who has been charged with violations of Republic Act No. 9208, the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Act of 2003, and RA 10175, the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

“Eleven (11) women, one of whom is a minor, were likewise rescued in the operation” conducted at a beach resort in Balayan town last Oct. 20.

The NBI said that Grey asked for P2,500 fee for sex services.

“Subject was arrested in an entrapment operation which stemmed from an information received regarding a certain Facebook account user ‘Darrah Mae Grey’ who was engaged in illicit activities of providing, offering, and transporting women, some of whom were believed to be minors, for sexual exploitation to paying customers,” it said.

It said that information it received showed that Grey could be contacted “through Facebook Messenger for booking purposes.”

“Further, Subject would be the one to transact pertaining to the fee and would personally provide and escort women at the desired place for sexual engagement,” it also said.
