Floyd Mayweather enjoys Filipino food in Sampaloc, Manila

‘This is his best experience in the Philippines and in Asia so far.’

During his recent trip to the Philippines, Floyd Mayweather got the true Manila foodie experience with Frontrow Enterprise’s president and CEO Sam Verzosa. The American boxing promoter and former professional boxer indulge in a feast in true urban Filipino style—on the street of Sampaloc, Manila with karaoke and basketball playing on the side.

In one of Sam’s Facebook posts released on Oct. 2, Floyd is seen enjoying the fiesta event with Raymond Francisco, co-founder of founders of Frontrow, and actress Rhian Ramos. Apart from enjoying Filipino dishes, the retired boxer also shoot hoops and gave a shout-out to Filipino boxing champ Manny Pacquiao.

“As you can see the dinner, it’s all organic, all real,” Floyd said. “You see the people basketball on the streets. See how we doing this. Top fried meal in a pan. Don't worry, Filipino people showed me love. Manny Pacquiao, we love you. And thanks for having me, Sam.”

According to Sam, Floyd said that “this is his best experience in the Philippines and in Asia so far.”
