Farmer in Kalinga yields shabu


TABUK CITY, Kalinga – Police arrested a 35-year-old farmer after suspected shabu valued at P13,600 was found in his house in Barangay Cudal here on Saturday, Oct. 1.

Col. Charles Domallig, Kalinga police chief, said the suspect, Elpidio Pagtud Linggayo, alias “Elpid,” has been under surveillance for some time for peddling illegal drugs.

The amount he was able to sell prompted to police to classify him as a street level individual.

Lawmen secured a search warrant from Judge Jerson Angog of Branch 25, Regional Trial Court, Second Judicial Region, Bulanao, Tabuk City, Kalinga.

A raid was conducted at 1:40 p.m. leading to the suspect’s arrest and seizure of seven small heat sealed plastic transparent sachet containing suspected shabu weighing two grams and worth P13,600.
