'I will forever cherish her advice': GMA saddened by death of Queen Elizabeth II

Former President and now Pampanga 2nd district Rep. Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo is mourning the passing of Great Britain's Queen Elizabeth II.

"I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II," Arroyo said in a statement on Friday afternoon, Sept. 9.

"The world will always remember her long and glorious reign. I will forever cherish Her Majesty's advice and encouragement when we visited her during my presidency," the House senior deputy speaker continued.

"My sincerest condolences to the entire Royal Family and the peoples over whom she reigned," the president-turned-lawmaker concluded.

Queen Elizabeth's reign lasted 70 years and 214 days. She passed away on Friday.
