Comelec starts printing ballots for Batangas town plebiscite


The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Tuesday, August 16, has started printing the official ballots for the plebiscite in Calaca, Batangas.

The official ballots and accountable forms for the Plebiscite to ratify the conversion of the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas into a component city, is printed at the National Printing Office , August 16 2022. The Commission on ELections (Comelec) has started the printing of official ballots and other forms for the plebiscites that will be held in four local government units. (Mark Balmores)

The printing of ballots and accountable forms for the plebiscite was held at the National Printing Office in Quezon City.

The plebiscite to ratify the conversion of the Municipality of Calaca, Batangas into a Component City is on Sept. 3, 2022.

Some of the plebiscites scheduled this year are the following:

•The plebiscite to ratify the division of the Province of Maguindanao into two provinces, namely: Maguindanao del Norte and Maguindanao del Sur is set on Sept. 17.

•The August 20, 2022 plebiscite to ratify the creation of Barangay New Canaan out of Barangay Pag-asa in the Municipality of Alabel, Sarangani.

•The Oct. 8, 2022 plebiscite to ratify the merger of 28 barangays into three barangays, and remaining one barangay, all in Ormoc City.
