TANAUAN CITY, Batangas – A cockpit operator survived an assassination attempt in Barangay Darasa here when he wounded his assailant Wednesday, August 10.
The Police Regional Office 4-A identified the victim as Mark Colin Enriquez Reno.
Police said that the victim was driving his Toyota Fortuner in St. Joseph Subdivision at 8 p.m. when a man appeared and shot him.
Reno returned fire and wounded the suspect who fled and was later identified as Frederick Octavio after he sought treatment in a hospital.
A caliber .45 pistol was recovered from the suspect.
