A special song number, heartfelt speech by her mom Nadia Montenegro, a fun wedding garter execution, and more!
Alynna “Ynna” Asistio officially tied the knot with long time boyfriend, Waldolf “Bully” Carbonell through an intimate civil wedding ceremony on Monday, Aug. 8, 2022 at 4:00 pm in Muntinlupa City Hall. They later formally celebrated with a Christian ceremony attended by a larger group of close family and friends at the Vivere Hotel and Resorts Grand Ballroom in Alabang.

The bride’s makeup was done by Makeup by Chardii. She wore jewel adorned heels custom made by Shoepatos by Doreen Odvina.
The Christian wedding was officiated by Bishop Manny Santiago of Lifegiver Church, who shared a short message about the beauty of marriage and the importance of putting God in the center of any relationship. Pastor Jamey Keneth Santiago-Manual, the couple’s spiritual leader, prayed over Ynna and Bully with particular focus on the Seven Blessings.
As the newlyweds exchanged vows, laughter could be heard across the ballroom as the groom exuded his usual humor, contrasting the bride’s more solemn demeanor. The congregation burst into applause when they put on each other’s wedding bands, and shared their first kiss as husband and wife, wrapping up a beautiful wedding ceremony. Their wedding rings were designed and created by Radiant Lux Jewelry.

Reception followed immediately after. Guests were served horderves by Grazing Table Manila and alcoholic drinks by Manila Craft on top of a full buffet dinner lineup by the hotel's catering services.

The program was hosted by the groom's cousin, author and former beauty queen Zara Carbonell, and commenced with a surprise song number by Ynna's siblings. All seven of her brother and sisters went on stage to perform a heartwarming original piece by Abby Asistio entitled "Selfless" as a tribute to Ynna for all the years the bride took care of them and made sacrifices out of love to contribute to the family's financial and overall well-being.

The patriarch of the Asistio family, former Caloocan Mayor Macario “Boy” Asistio passed away five years ago. Thus, the most emotional moment of the evening was when Ynna’s younger brother and Nadia’s only son, Alexander “Xander” Asistio—a splitting image of their dad—took her hand for the customary father-daughter dance. Everyone who knew Mayor Boy was in tears, as we watched the two dance to the backdrop of a video compilation that honored the memory of their late father.

During her message for the new Mr. and Mrs. Carbonell, mother of the bride, Nadia Montenegro, extended recognition to all who made time to witness the union of Ynna and Bully. Some of her good friends that were present include veteran actors Ian Veneracion and Arlene Muhlach.

Nadia confessed that she had not made it easy for the two, because she wanted them to realize that true love is hard fought and for the young lovers to develop greater appreciation for what they have with each other.

Nadia refers to Ynna as "the star of the family, the diamond of the family" in her tearful speech. " always shined, but she never got the spotlight because she is so selfless." Hence she is at peace to see Ynna be with a man who enables her to shine her brightest and take care of her the way that she deserves.

She also joked about how real prayers can turn out to be. As she apparently prayed for a grandchild, without specifying her intent that it come from her eldest, Alyssa “Yssa” Asistio-London and husband Mac. But as the Bible verse goes, Ecclesiastes 3:11 “God has made everything beautiful in its time,” and look where Ynna and Bully are now—committing to each other in the presence of the Lord.
The event ended with a crazy rendition of the classic bouquet tossing and garter ceremony. Instead of having the first single lady who catches the bridal bouquet as the "winner," the participants were subjected to a version of musical chairs except with flowers! The ladies form a circle and pass the bouquet around, and whoever has the bouquet when the music stops is evicted. Ynna's Maid-of-Honor, Alyana "Yana" Asistio ended up being the last woman standing, which earned her a garter performance from her boyfriend, Bryan Mendoza.
