Police arrest Roxas City's No. 1 most wanted

ILOILO CITY – Police arrested Thursday, August 4, the No. 1 most wanted person in Roxas City, the capital of Capiz.

The suspect was identified as 47-year-old Billy de Chavez Gaborne.

The Roxas Component City Police Station arrested Gaborne, a high-value drug suspect and had a standing warrant of arrest issued by Judge Esperanza Isabel Poco-Deslate of the Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 29 in Roxas City.

Gaborne was nabbed with another man, Leo Deofiles Gaborne, in a buy-bust operation conducted by the police in Roxas City in September 2018.

A third person was also arrested for purchasing shabu from the suspects.

It was unclear if Gaborne escaped or was released on bail after he was arrested in 2018.

Gaborne was turned over to the court to face a case for violating Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
