MB Daily News Update: Rodriguez debunks rumors he stepped down as ES

Executive Secretary Vic Rodriguez rued that fake news, and lies spread by the so-called “Mariteses (rumor mongers)” will hound the Marcos administration for the next six years, and it seemed that he was one of their first victims.

Social media was on fire with tweets that Rodriguez had resigned his post. Later in the day, he personally denied the ugly rumor when he met with some members of the Malacañang Press Corps.

Meanwhile, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has reportedly been working on his State-of-the-Nation Address (SONA) which he will deliver on Monday, July 25, 2022.

The Philippine government has raised concern over the spate of attacks launched by the terrorist New People’s Army (NPA) which, it alleged, violated international human rights.
