Gelli de Belen and Ariel Rivera's sons Joaqui and Julio are offering their version of the local rice cake known as biko in Canada.
They are making good business out of it.
Gelli is delighted that her children are not just relying on their allowances.
Asked why they decided to become entrepreneurs, the two kids jested it is mainly because they're "broke."
Turning serious, they noted how they "enjoy" doing such a "fun" activity.
"It's really fulfilling, actually to be able to, I don't know, give a part of us, our family, to other people for them to enjoy because I love to hear feedback from people. I love how they really like our biko. It's almost like an extension of lolo's legacy," said Julio.
Note their version of the biko is actually Ariel's dad's recipe.
In fact, they named their business after him - Lolo Ben's Biko.
