He gets it from his grandma!
WalterMart just launched Alden Richards as their newest endorser and it's a definitely a match. Richards hails from Laguna and frequents the Sta. Rosa branch when he was still a child. He shared memories of him shopping with his family, and even grandmother, made at this branch when it was still a grocery.
"Noon pa lang avid go-er na ako ng WalterMart, kaya sobrang excited ako maging part ng WalterMart family, mahilig talaga ako mag shop, especially for my family and mas naging exciting pa yan with this partnership," he confesses.

He also admits that he finds supermarket shopping as one source of his stress-relievers. He also teased the audience that he just might show up in one of the Waltermart branches in a cap and wearing a mask doing the grocery. He also enjoys ticking off everything in his shopping list—the best feeling for him is to be able to buy everything he needs.
When asked what how he shops, it's pretty straightforward, crediting his grandmother for most of the tips.
- When shopping, start from the far end and work your way to the cashier so you don't miss out on any aisles.
- Stick to your list. You might find it interesting now, but it will eventually expire in your pantry.
- Don't buy too much of one item, to avoid spoilage. "Sayang, especially now that I am living alone. I don't need much. But, most of the time, I do my grocery shopping for my grandparents, sister and parents and ship them back to Laguna."
- Go for sale items. "But, syempre, check the expiry date. Mahilig rin ako sa mga ganyan."
- Always bring a list, especially when you're purchasing multiple items. "Kahit sa phone, pero sanay pa rin ako sa sulat."
The launch of Richards as the endorser also introduces the "More to Love" campaign where WalterMart boasts of 20,000 competitively-priced items. Convenience is also key with discounted parking stubs, and pick-up options as well.
