MB Daily News Update: BBM says corruption has ‘corrosive influence on government’


Even President-elect Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. acknowledged that his administration would have to “dig deep” to fight corruption, and he pledged to go after erring government workers who have had a corrosive influence on government.

Malacanang also gave its take on talk that President Duterte could become Marcos Jr.’s drug czar, saying that there was no obstruction for such an appointment.

The Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Covid-19 has kept Metro Manila under Alert Level 1 until June 15, 2022, and has eased travel restrictions further by no longer requiring any Covid-19 tests on all arriving passengers.  

The United States will also have a new ambassador to the Philippines in MaryKay Loss Carlson, replacing Sung Kim.
