CIW: No fee for ‘e-dalaw’

The Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City said it does require payment for the online visits of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in its ‘e-dalaw’ program.

Its advisory was issued after it discovered fake Facebook accounts claiming to be those of the facility.

“This institution also does not transact through GCASH. At wala pong bayad ang e-dalaw (There is no payment for e-dalaw),” the CIW said.

It identified the fake Facebook accounts as:

“The Correctional Institution for Women informs the public that the Facebook accounts listed here are not run by any BuCor (Bureau of Corrections) CIW personnel and are unrelated to any BuCor personnel,” the CIW said.

“Kindly report these accounts to prevent the creation of false identities,” it urged the public.
