The Correctional Institution for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City said it does require payment for the online visits of persons deprived of liberty (PDLs) in its ‘e-dalaw’ program.

Its advisory was issued after it discovered fake Facebook accounts claiming to be those of the facility.

“This institution also does not transact through GCASH. At wala pong bayad ang e-dalaw (There is no payment for e-dalaw),” the CIW said.

It identified the fake Facebook accounts as:

“Kindly report these accounts to prevent the creation of false identities,” it urged the public.
