Pia Wurtzbach is serving international flavors with the launch of her food brand

Go on a flavorful adventure with Pia’s Kitchen World Cuisine

Filipino pageant fans know that aside from winning the Miss Universe crown, Pia Wurtzbach is a trained chef. The former beauty queen studied culinary arts under the tutelage of some of the local food scene’s masters such as chefs Gene Gonzalez and Junjun de Guzman. She even showcased her kitchen skills during her reign preparing Pinoy favorites like lumpia and empanada. And after opening Bestea, a milk tea brand she co-founded with best friends Pauleen Luna and Chef Niña Almoro, the 32-year–old launches a food brand dubbed Pia’s Kitchen World Cuisine.

As the name implies, Pia’s latest food venture will feature international dishes that are inspired by her adventures in different countries. “So excited to share this with you! After months of preparation, meetings & food tasting, I’m finally launching my own food business,” she posted on Instagram. “Our food menu will also be traveling so it will change throughout the year...Surprise muna kung saan ko kayo dadalhin next!”

For its first release, Pia is taking everyone on a gastronomic journey to Japan. Foodies can now order from the brand meals like Beef Gyudon and Katsudon rice bowls, curry dishes, and her take on the Japanese Sando sandwich.

“Tokyo has so much to offer. Whether you’re traveling as a family, as a couple, or alone, you’re sure to find something interesting to do,” she said about her trip to Japan. “My favorite place I visited here is the Meiji Temple. This temple is dear to my heart. I picked up a lucky amulet here after losing in Bb Pilipinas 2014. I brought that amulet with me to the Miss Universe competition. I’d like to believe it brought me that extra bit of luck that I needed.”

Pia’s Kitchen World Cuisine is now available on Grabfood.
