The Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) may file criminal charges on the case of a 13-year-old boy who died after undergoing circumcision last March 22.

PAO Chief Persida V. Rueda Acosta on Sunday, March 27, said those involved in the circumcision of Angelo Tolentino in a medical mission in Lucena City may face charges of reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.

“There is clear negligence,” Acosta said. She said Tolentino’s family members sought PAO’s assistance.

PAO’s forensic team led by Dr. Erwin Erfe has already conducted an autopsy but the results were not disclosed.
