Heading to Tagaytay? This bulalo lomi is something you shouldn’t miss

This mashup of beloved soups is the one to try

As restrictions in Manila and other parts of the country are now more relaxed, domestic traveling for anyone is becoming much easier. And if anyone wants a quick getaway, Tagaytay is one of the top destinations. Just a few hours drive away from Manila, families and friends can feel the cool breeze and see the beautiful sceneries Tagaytay has to offer. Of course, going there means enjoying a warm bowl of bulalo. But if you’re looking for something new, this mashup of beloved soups is the one to try.

Mucho Lomi and Bulalo Lomi

Tia Belle’s Tagaytay merges everything you love about bulalo and lomi in one bowl. The Bulalo Lomi has thick noodles served with juicy beef and savory soup decorated with some veggies on the side. Another thing to try is its Mucho Lomi, a noodle soup overload that will make your mouth water as soon as it gets to your table.

Led by Evelyn Wise, Tia Belle’s Tagaytay is all about serving Filipino food that reminds everyone of home. As a Nueva Ecija native, she has been exposed early on to the dynamic nature of cooking. For her, cooking is both an art and a skill. “Every time I am in the kitchen, cooking and concocting sauces, I feel like dancing—dancing with my wok,” she playfully narrates.

Crispy pata and lumpiang Laguna

Apart from the noodle soups, diners also shouldn’t miss the restaurant’s classic nilagang baka Tagalog, lumpiang bukid, the crunchy lumpiang Laguna, and the piping hot crispy pata. Among the best-sellers as well are the flavor-rich Pancit Malabon and cheesy pichi-pichi.

“We want to be of service to our fellow countrymen while keeping and incorporating the important values and traditions of what being Filipino is all about,” Evelyn proudly shares.

Tia Belle’s has always valued Filipino values more than anything, making its restaurant, not just a good dining spot, but also a space where Filipino culture and spirit are alive. Dining at the restaurant feels like traveling back in time as they play kundimans while the customers enjoy their meals. Its interior design has stories to share as well with its native Filipino trimmings and antique setup giving off the ancestral home vibe.

Tia Belle’s can be found at Putingkahoy, Silang Cavite, along Tagaytay – Sta. Rosa Rd. Check out its Facebook page to learn more about its offerings.
