Life as an Assumptionista does not end after graduation. It is a life-long commitment. Assumption Old Girls, as they are fondly called, would find their way back to their alma mater through the Velada or the grand annual homecoming hosted by the batch Silver Jubilarians. The Assumption Velada is unlike any other. Aside from the festivities and production numbers, this is also the main way each Assumption High School batch creates opportunities to share the values-filled Assumption education through the various Assumption Mission Schools and communities all over the country.
An Assumption High School batch that reaches at least twenty years after graduation often starts its fundraising activities in preparation for The Velada. This tradition is anticipated and welcomed by Assumption High School Batch 1999 as it traverses its #RoadToVelada2024.
Following a successful fundraising initiative last Christmas, ACHS 1999 is once again revved up for another activity that is sure to satisfy every sweet tooth with the main objective of helping.
Inspired by the famous Assumption Tart that is a crisp flaky crust topped with guava jam made by Assumption nuns and sold in Assumption schools, ACHS 1999 collaborates with the county’s premium dessert boutique, Paper Moon Café, to create a divine dessert that hits the heart of every Assumptionista and practically everyone who loves this sweet-tangy tropical fruit.
Known for its high quality and premium products, Paper Moon introduces its newest delicious offerings, the Assumption Tart-inspired Guava Mille Crepe (P2,750 for large and P1,500 for medium) and Guava Cheese Tarts (P450 for a box of three). Imagine the sweet-tangy flavor of freshly made guava compote that blends perfectly well with the pastry cream of the mille crepe and the velvety cheese of the tart. Every bite is filled with guava goodness that is nothing short of delicious.
Each order of this guava creation comes with a special Valentine-themed Assumption branded topper designed by ACHS 1999’s very own Kate De Dios, art director at design software company Canva. It’s a gift an Assumptionista will love and every sweet tooth will enjoy.
