Korean stars Park Shin-hye, 31, and Choi Tae-joon, 30, got married in a church ceremony on Jan. 22 attended by family members and friends in the entertainment industry.
On Jan. 26, Park Shin-hye took to Instagram and uploaded photos of their rehearsal for the wedding ceremony just before the actual event was held at Oryun Community Church in Gangdong-gu, Seoul.
Among those who went to their wedding were Korean celebrities Lee Min-ho, Super Junior’s Leeteuk, Nam Goong-min, IU, Lee Seo-jin, Yoo Yeon-seok, Ryu Jun-yeol, AOA’s Seolhyun, Lee Sun-bin, Lee Dong-hwi, Bae Jeong-nam, former rhythmic gymnast Son Yeon-jae, Kim Myung-min, Kim Bum, 2PM’s Chansung, Nam Ji-hyun, Seulong, Oh Yeon-seo, Uhm Ji-won, Yoon Kyun-sang and Kim Ye-won.
During their ceremony, Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon exchanged wedding vows.
"I, Choi Tae-Joon, take you Park Shin-Hye as my wife, and pledge to love and cherish you for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health,” said the actor.
She replied, “I, Park Shin-hye, take you Choi Tae-joon as my husband, and pledge to love and cherish you for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer,” according to Korean media. After saying this, Park Shin-hye was in tears.
After the ceremony, Park Shin-hye posted on Instagram, “Thank you to everyone who sent many blessings and congratulations.”
Choi Tae-joon also wrote, “Thank you so much for your support and blessings.”
Park Shin-hye wore a wedding gown by Oscar de la Renta at the actual ceremony while she wore bridal gowns and dresses by the same luxury brand and Filipino-American Monique Lhuillier for the pre-wedding pictorial. Choi Tae-joon wore a tuxedo by Korean brand Lord and Tailor.
Lhuillier posted photos of the couple on Instagram and congratulated them on their wedding.
“Congratulations to the beautiful couple! Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon, who were married in an intimate ceremony in Seoul! Just gorgeous! #moniquelhuillier #mlbride,” she wrote.
The Oscar de la Renta Instagram account also congratulated the couple, writing, “Just Married. Congratulations Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon, who were married today in an intimate ceremony in Seoul. Park Shin-hye is a vision in the #odlrbridal embroidered bow ball gown.”
Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon announced last November that they were getting married with a baby on the way.
“I am getting married to the person I have been seeing for a while now. He was my pillar of support for a long time, and he embraced the person Park Shin Hye with all of her lacking qualities. So I'm planning to start a new life with him as a married couple,” said Park Shin-hye, according to SBS News.
She added, “Furthermore, although I am a little hesitant to discuss this since it is still in its very early stages, but while we began preparing for our marriage, a precious new life came to us. I wanted to share this news to you first, most of all,” the actress said about her pregnancy.”
Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon both started as child actors and studied at Chung-Ang University.
Choi Tae-joon wrote to fans and said, “I have a precious someone that I have shared many emotions with for a long time and continued a meaningful relationship with. She is like a savior who silently taught me how to smile brightly when I am happy and how to cry out when I am sad,” he added.
“Now, in order to achieve the fruits of this grateful love, we are about to make a promise as a couple. And, although I am careful to tell you, in the process of preparing for a new chapter in life, a precious life has come to us,” he said.
Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon both started as child actors and studied at Chung-Ang University.
She started as a child actress, appearing in “Stairway to Heaven.” Her drama and film credits include “#Alive,” “The Heirs,” “The Call,” “Memories of the Alhambra” and “Miracle in Cell No.7.”
Choi Tae-joon’s acting credits include the dramas “So I Married the Anti-fan,” “A Girl Who Sees Smells” and “Exit.”
