Jobs, education, forex among Sara's plans if elected VP

Vice presidential candidate Sara Duterte-Carpio will push for the creation of more jobs as well as for the prioritization of education and the strengthening of the country's foreign exchange if elected in the second highest seat in the country.

During the pilot episode of her "Metro Manila virtual caravan," Duterte-Carpio said she will focus on creating more opportunities for the Filipino people, which she said is also the goal of her ally, aspiring president Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr.

"Maayos na edukasyon, dahil ‘yan po ang backbone ng magagandang trabaho at malalaking sweldo (A good education, because that's the backbone of great opportunities and bigger salaries)," she added.

Meanwhile, Duterte-Carpio, stressing the importance of a vibrant foreign exchange, said local currency trading among Filipinos is not enough. She said it should be brought to a global scale through foreign investments for the country’s economic health.

We need foreign investors or money that's coming from other countries and being invested in the Philippines)," she said, noting it will earn investors' confidence.

We want to show that the Philippines is strong, safe and secure to invest in so the investors will become confident to entrust us their money)," she added.
