Slated for soft-opening today, Dec. 24, 2021, the local branch of the cafe brings Japanese Zen to Manila with warm minimalist interiors coupled with its specialty brews. News about its coming spread in 2020 and previously had a launch date scheduled in August 2021.

Omotesando Koffee is brought to the Philippines by H&F Retail Concepts, the group behind luxury labels Comme des Garcons, Univers, Balenciaga, Homme et Femme, and Fred Perry. Owner and head barista of The Curator and EDSA Beverage Design Group, David Ong, helped out in making things possible for the opening of the Philippine store.

“Finally, after months of preparation, I/we can finally say that,” David announced on Instagram. “Drop in and say Hello! Also, be nice to the OKPH Team as it’s Christmas Eve.”

First established as a pop-up in Tokyo in 2011, Omotesando Koffee has grown into a global brand with shops located in Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok, and London. Apart from the Power Plant Mall store, the Japanese coffee label is set to open two more concepts in the future.
