Hugpong elated at Sara's dominance in PR firm's poll survey

The party of vice presidential aspirant Sara Duterte-Carpio is elated over her and her political ally's, presidential aspirant Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr., dominance in a latest survey conducted by a campaigns management firm.

In a statement, Anthony Del Rosario, secretary general of Duterte-Carpio's party Hugpong ng Pagbabago, said the results of latest Publicus Asia survey, which showed that the vice presidential aspirant is the most preferred candidate for the second highest post in the country, "are humbling, and at the same time, encouraging."

This came after Duterte-Carpio was chosen by 54.8 percent of the 1,500 respondents of the survey to become the next vice president. Meanwhile, her ally, Marcos Jr., won the trust of the 51.9 percent of the respondents.

According to Del Rosario, the survey results only show that their alliance, the BBM-Sara UniTeam, "continues to capture the hearts of the Filipino people."

"But most importantly, it leads the party and all the organizations supporting the UniTeam to focus more on the pressing challenges that we are facing today—such as recovery from the impact of the pandemic," he said.

"We would like to thank every Filipino who is supporting the vice-presidential candidacy of our chairperson, Mayor Inday Sara, and BBM, her presidential candidate," he added.
