BDO assures affected clients reimbursement after hack

As the issue remains in the mainstream media, several BDO clients have shared on social media how their bank accounts were targeted and became vulnerable to online hacking, resulting in fund transfers ranging from P25,000 to P50,000 made without the permission of the bank's owners and depositors.

BDO responded quickly to these cases and issued statements regarding the ongoing cybersecurity attack.

BDO also recommends that their clients change their passwords to improve account security and prevent fraudsters from accessing their hard-earned money. Furthermore, BDO assured all affected innocent clients that their losses would be reimbursed.

BDO continues to remind clients to never share login information like username and password, and OTP. For added protection and security, clients are encouraged to regularly change the passwords of their online bank account.
