Mostly fair weather conditions, with possible rain showers, may prevail across the country this weekend, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Saturday morning, Nov. 20.

PAGASA said the northeast monsoon, locally called "amihan," may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, Cagayan Valley, and Central Luzon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country may also experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant as severe thunderstorms may sometimes trigger flash floods or landslides.

Weather specialist Grace Castañeda said PAGASA has not monitored a weather disturbance inside the country's area of responsibility as of Saturday morning.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said no gale warning is raised over the country's seaboards.

Moderate to rough seas may prevail over northern and central Luzon, while slight to moderate seas will likely persist over the rest of the country.

As such, sea travel is safe even for fisherfolk and others with small sea vessels, PAGASA said.
