Sultan unbothered with judges' scoring vs Caraballo

Despite all the three judges scoring a close 94-93, Sultan had the last laugh and captured the WBO Intercontinental bantamweight title.

Thanks to his four huge knockdowns, the 29-year-old Sultan exited the Hulu Theater of Madison Square Garden in New York City beaming with smile and pride.

The important thing right now is that I won. We all know that Caraballo is really good at scoring)," said Sultan in the latest episode of former PBA commissioner Noli Eala's Power and Play.

Sultan also credited Caraballo's boxing and punching prowess, admitting that he was quite hurt with the heavy blows he sustained from the Puerto Rican.

The Zamboanga del Norte native pugilist knew the possibility of him losing sans the four knockdown execution.

Those knockdowns were the reasons we won. We know that Caraballo is good at scoring, his movement, every aspect, he knows it well)."

Sultan won for the third straight time and improved to an 18-5 record on top of 11 knockouts while the 25-year-old Caraballo suffered the first loss of his career with 14 wins all coming from KOs.

Sultan is planning to return to the Philippines for a two-week vacation with his family soon before coming back to the US for training.
