Shawarma Shack, a locally bred food company, continues to reap praises and recognition for its philanthropic deeds amid the ongoing pandemic.

Just recently, Philippine National Police (PNP) chief General Guillermo Lorenzo Eleazar has cited Shawarma Shack Group CEO Walther Uzi Buenavista for his charitable works and unwavering support to the police force at the PNP Star Officers’ Lounge, PNP National Headquarters at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

Buenavista and his wife Patricia visited Eleazar in his office to personally receive the plaque of appreciation and token presented by the PNP chief. At the same time, Buenavista turned over hundreds of sacks of rice as the company’s support to the PNP frontliners.

“Partnership between the government and private sector is important in hurdling the pandemic,” the PNP police chief emphasized.

Shawarma Shack has committed itself to giving back to the community by sending support and leading outreach programs to areas in great need.

No crisis or natural calamities can stop Shawarma Shack from helping fellow Filipinos affected by the recent natural disasters and the ongoing pandemic.

With the recent disastrous events that struck our country—volcanic eruption, typhoons, and the deadly COVID-19, the company quickly acted in response by sending truckloads of food, water, and other supplies to areas severely hit by the typhoons, specifically Bicol, Cagayan Valley, and Rizal Province.

‘The best thing that we can do is to give assistance and support to our fellow Filipinos. By doing that, I believe we can rise again, together.’

“In this pandemic situation that we are currently experiencing, the best thing that we can do is to give assistance and support to our fellow Filipinos. By doing that, I believe we can rise again, together. We are glad that our simple acts brought hope to the people,” Buenavista said.

Apart from the company’s humanitarian efforts, it gives utmost importance to food safety and sanitation. It has constructed a modern food lab that operates with advanced technology to ensure it maintains only the freshest high- quality ingredients.

Shawarma Shack exemplifies that compassion and clemency are still alive. Through these efforts, Filipinos can overcome the present challenges and look forward to a better future ahead.

The company prides itself as the first and the original buy-one-take-one Shawarma in the Philippines. Shawarma Shack currently has over 500 branches nationwide, banking on the affordability of its products while assuring franchisees with real profitability and fast returns.
