Arthur Nery edges out BTS on Spotify

The Cagayan De Oro-based singer does the impossible.

Arthur Nery is riding high with his latest single “Pagsamo.” Since releasing the new song more than a week ago, the track netted Nery all kinds of personal career milestones.

Among them being the fastest single to race to 1 million streams on Youtube (5.2 million) and on Spotify (which sits at 3.2M as of this writing) for his new single since it was released last October 1st.

It also netted him a couple of Number 1 standings on the following playlists; “Tatak Pinoy,” “OPM Rising,” “Hugot Playlist” and on the “OPM Says Chillax playlists.”

Over the weekend, Arthur aced his highest streaming record for a day for one song with over 433.4 thousand streams for his latest release that bested his OPM contemporaries.

Before last weekend started, he had 6 songs charting at the same time with “Take All The Love,” “Happy w u,” “Binhi,” “Higa,” “Pelikula” (the Janine Tenoso song that he is featured on) and “Pagsamo.”

But the icing on the cake happened just as this week opened. It was indicated by Spotify that the singer trounced popular K-pop band BTS by more than 200 thousand streams here.

Yes, you've read it right.

Nery bested the world conquering K-pop group, at least in terms of streaming here in the Philippines.

Spotify also indicated that in total, twelve of Arthur Nery’s songs (including previously released songs) are currently charting on Spotify’s popular OPM-based listings and playlists.

These career milestones have pushed the CDO-based singer-songwriter as the current number one young male solo singer in the land today.
