The eastbound portion of North Avenue in Quezon City will be closed to traffic starting next week until June 2022 for the construction of the Metro Rail Transit Line 7 (MRT-7).
In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said that the closure of the portion of North Avenue bound to Elliptical Road will start on October 15, 2021 and last until June 1, 2022.
Motorists going to Ninoy Aquino Parks and Wildlife Center and Veterans Memorial Medical Center may still pass through North Avenue, but individuals bound to Elliptical Road should take Quezon Ave. through Agham road as an alternate route, the MMDA said.
The MMDA said it expects that the closure of the said portion would not heavily impact the traffic as it had already been closed to motorists before.
