Presidential aspirant claims God told him to lead PH

Edgar Niez

Presidential aspirant Edgar Niez asked Filipinos to vote for him in next year's general polls as he announced that God had told him to run for president.

Niez was the sixth individual who filed a certificate of candidacy (COC) for president during the fifth day of the COC filing. He said that “with God, nothing is impossible.”

“God said to me that he’s angry...and he only needs repentance and reconciliation as I asked him 'what will we do Lord?,'” said Niez.

“God instructed me to run as His representative,” he added.

If the Filipino people elected him as president, Niez said he will fairly impose the laws of the country.

“I will enforce laws justly and equally, eradicate poverty, create businesses and jobs that respect rights and balance of nature---- and foster citizenry whose members live in Godly lives as we develop as a nation doing God’s work for all humanity,” he said.
