A 4.0-magnitude earthquake struck Davao del Sur on Wednesday morning, Sept. 1, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
Phivolcs said the epicenter of the earthquake was traced at 9 kilometers (km) northeast of Davao City, Davao del Sur at around 6:26 a.m.
The tremor was slightly felt at Intensity II in Davao City, while its instruments measured the quake at Intensity I in Kidapawan City.
Phivolcs said it does not expect damage to property or aftershocks due to this earthquake.
