150 persons get COVID-19 vaccines at SRPPF -- BuCor

A total of 150 persons, 19 of them inmates, received their first dose of vaccines against the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) at the San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm (SRPPF) in Zamboanga City last Tuesday, Aug. 3.

In a statement, the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) said also vaccinated were 119 uniformed personnel, one with comorbidities, a healthcare worker, a senior citizen, and nine other persons categorized A5 or “poor population based on the National Household Targeting System.”

It said the SRPPF vaccination was conducted in coordination with Region IX City Health Office and the National Immunization Program Coordinator.

Also, 200 inmates at the Correctional Institute for Women (CIW) in Mandaluyong City got their first dose of COVId-19 vaccine last Aug. 3.

Last July 30, a total of 378 inmates at the New Bilibid Prison (NBP) in Muntinlupa City received their first vaccine dose. The July 30 vaccination, BuCor said, was the third batch implemented at the NBP under the government’s “Resbakuna” program.
