Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz gets one year supply of free milk tea

Now, we are really jealous!

Many of us didn't know that a lot can be earned from being an Olympic gold medalist. After weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz's historic victory in the Tokyo Olympics 2021, that's when we fully realize that the price a champion gets is way beyond just a golden medal, in her case it is more than P30 million. On July 27, 2021, various private firms gifted the athlete a P14-million condominium, a house and lot, and a lifetime supply of free gas and free flights. The latest addition to this list is a year's supply of milk tea courtesy of local brand Cha Tuk Chak, and netizens are now really jealous.

"We heard she loves cheesecake and milk tea so one year free milk tea for our champ," the brand announced. "We honor the courage and dedication you showed, Hidilyn Diaz!"

According to the now viral post, the Olympic winner will get to enjoy the brand's premium cheesecake milk tea. Of course, the comment section of the post expressed praises for the athlete, while others, well, hoped and prayed they would have the same thing the Pinay Olympic gold medalist gets.

A Facebook user said, "Not good for her health. Akin na lang (Give it to me instead)." Another thinks the athlete deserves all the love and support she is getting. One pointed out that maybe they could give her sales instead saying, "athletes need more financial support."

Whatever people say, one thing is true. Hidilyn earned every blessing she got, and that includes a sweet break with her favorite milk tea on the side.
