Tens of thousands of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine doses procured by local government units have already arrived in northern Metro Manila.
In Caloocan City, the local government said it received 17,200 doses of the said vaccine brand. It is still expecting 582,800 more doses.
Meanwhile, Navotas City Mayor Toby Tiangco announced that 2,900 AstraZeneca doses were already delivered to the city’s facility.
“This is part of the 100,000 doses that we ordered, which also had a P20 million budget allocation,” he added.
Valenzuela City also has 18,400 doses, which would be stored at a cold storage facility in Barangay Lawang Bato.
The local government units of Malabon and Quezon cities have yet to make an announcement about their procured AstraZeneca vaccine doses.
