Almost all Filipino adults are worried that they or their family members may get sick with the coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Pulse Asia said on Monday, July 12.

Pulse Asia Research's June 2021 Ulat ng Bayan survey showed that 96 percent of Filipinos are worried about contracting COVID-19, which is almost the same as the level of concern in February 2021 at 94 percent.

The survey was conducted on June 7-16, 2021 with 2,400 respondents.

Of the 96 percent who expressed concern about contracting COVID-19, 69 percent are "very much worried" while 27 percent are "somewhat" worried" about the possibility of getting infected with the fatal disease.

"Across geographic areas and socio-economic classes, concern about contracting COVID-19 is basically universal (96 percent to 98 percent and 96 percent to 97 percent, respectively)," Pulse Asia pointed out.

"In particular, small to huge majorities in the different areas and classes are very much concerned about getting sick with COVID-19 (59 percent to 82 percent and 67 percent to 80 percent, respectively)," it added.

Pulse Asia noted that only 1 percent of Filipino adults are not concerned while 2 percent are undecided on the matter.
