Grab PH issues statement on fraudulent delivery bookings for Kris Bernal


Grab Philippines said on Monday, July 5, that it is closely working with actress Kris Bernal who was victimized by fraudulent delivery food bookings over the weekend.

In a statement, Denise Albero, of Greenbulb Communications, the communications agency of Grab Philippines, also said that Grab Philippines has conducted an investigation into the fraud delivery bookings, adding that the company will not tolerate fraudulent activities.

"It has been brought to our attention that someone has recently used our platform to place multiple orders - causing undue stress to Ms Kris Bernal and our driver-partners.

"Grab has a zero-tolerance policy on fraudulent activities. Upon learning of this incident, we have immediately conducted our investigation and we have blocked the mobile phone IMEI of the fraudster to avoid similar incidents from happening in the future. We are also working closely with Ms. Kris Bernal on the matter, and we have reimbursed our delivery-partners who have fallen prey to this fraudster.

"Grab Philippines will continue to extend its cooperation with the local authorities in their investigation," Albero said.

Bernal said on social media that she received more than 40 food deliveries, which she did not order.
