Warm and humid mornings with a possibility of short-lived sudden rains or thunderstorms in the afternoon or evening will likely prevail across the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Tuesday, June 29.

The southwest monsoon or "habagat" may only affect the extreme portion of northern Luzon, while localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with rain showers over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

PAGASA advised the public to stay vigilant against flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms.

Weather specialist Meno Mendoza said PAGASA is not expecting a low pressure area or tropical cyclone that may form or affect the country in the next two to three days.

Moreover, no gale warning is in place as slight to moderate sea conditions may prevail across the country.

While no gale warning is in effect, PAGASA still advised seafarers and fisherfolk to remain alert as sea conditions may become rough during severe offshore thunderstorms.
