Actress-director Arlene Tolibas, 55


Arlene Tolibas, veteran actress and director, died of cardiac arrest on Thursday, June 3.

She was 55.

The news was confirmed via social media by family and friends, including actor Gardo Versoza and comedian Dinky Doo.

Arlene is known most as a comedienne.

She gained notice in the 90s appearing in films like "Alabang Girls," "Bala At Lipstick," Rollerboys," among many others.

Arlene also directed a few seasons of the PMPC (Philippine Movie Press Club) Star Awards for Movies, Television, some Box Office Entertainment Awards, and the Metro Manila Film Festival.

Arlene also worked behind the camera for TV shows as floor director.

Her life story was featured in "Magpakailanman" in 2013.
