Proudly Filipino: local chocolate brand takes home two new prestigious international awards

There’s no denying that Filipinos love chocolates. In recent years, many Filipino-owned chocolate brands have been gaining ground not only in the Philippines but also in the global scene. One such brand is Auro Chocolate.

Launched in 2017, Auro Chocolate is a globally recognized bean-to-bar company that directly sources its beans from local partner farmers in Mindanao.

The company has received numerous international awards over the past years. And just recently, two prestigious awards were added to their list.

Auro won the new Shining Bright Award from the Academy of Chocolate Special Awards 2020, which was only awarded to four producers that have demonstrated growth in fine chocolate worldwide. Winners in this category were picked from over 50 countries around the world. Auro was praised for gaining high marks in categories like drinking chocolate.

In another international chocolate competition, namely International Chocolate Awards World Finals, Auro also gained the Silver Award for their 50% Regalo Single-Varietal Dark Milk Chocolate in the Plain/Origin Milk Chocolate Bars Category.
