2 PH serpent eagles rescued in Isabela

CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela – A concerned citizen has rescued two Philippine serpent eagles in a forested area in Benito Soliven, this province.

The concerned citizen turned over the two birds named “Crizaldo” and “James” to the Isabela Provincial Police Office which, in turn, gave them to the Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in this city headed by Arvin Perez, officer-in-charge of the Fuyot Spring National Park, Ilagan Sanctuary in Sta. Victoria, here.

The Isabela police said their concern and protection for wildlife is part of the Philippine National Police (PNP) core value "makakalikasan (pro-environment)." The city government of Ilagan through the CENRO shall keep the birds at the sanctuary for their protection.
