UP Diliman public places remain closed amid GCQ

All public places in the University of the Philippines Diliman (UP Diliman) in Quezon City are still closed until further notice due to the continuing threat of coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

In an advisory on Monday, May 17, UP Diliman said areas that will remain closed to the public include the academic oval, College of Human Kinetics, Philippine Association of University Women-UP Child Study Center, National Science Complex, and bike routes.

UP campus residents, however, are allowed to do outdoor exercises within their respective areas/purok, provided that they will strictly observe safety protocols, such as wearing of face masks and physical distancing of at least two meters.

Meanwhile, UP Diliman said its units will return to the level of operations before the declaration of enhanced community quarantine on March 29, 2021.

This was after Malacañang announced the implementation of general community quarantine with heightened restrictions in NCR plus areas, which include Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.
