The weather disturbance “Crising” has weakened into a tropical depression shortly before making its landfall in the vicinity of Baganga, Davao Oriental on Thursday night.
PAGASA said Crising weakened into a a tropical depression at around 8 p.m. and made its landfall at around 8:20 p.m.
The center of Crising was estimated within the vicinity of New Bataan, Davao de Oro at around 10 p.m.
It had a maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph, while moving westward at 20 kph.
Moderate to heavy rains may affect over Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, Davao del Norte, Davao City, Cotabato, Maguindanao, Bukidnon, Lanao del Norte, Lanao del Sur, Misamis Occidental, Zamboanga del Sur, and the northern portion of Zamboanga del Norte until Friday afternoon, May 14.

In the next 24 hours, under the influence of Crising, moderate to rough seas will be experienced over the eastern seaboard of Mindanao.
Mariners of small sea crafts were advised not to venture out over these waters. Likewise, inexperienced mariners of these vessels should also avoid navigating in these conditions.

PAGASA estimated the center of Crising at 110 kilometers (km) south southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur at around 7 p.m.
The tropical storm packed a maximum sustained winds of 65 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gustiness of up to 80 kph, while moving westward at 25 kph.
Based on the forecast track, PAGASA said Crising will move generally westward and is seen to make landfall over Baganga, Davao Oriental between 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The low pressure area over the Philippine Sea east of Davao City has developed into tropical depression “Crising” at 2 a.m.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) estimated the location of Crising at 420 kilometers east of Davao City around 4 a.m.
It has maximum sustained winds of 45 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 55 kph, while it is seen to move west at 15 kph.
