Thirdy Ravena’s maiden campaign in Japan’s B.League ended by sitting out the San-En Neophoenix’s 80-75 road loss to the Shinshu Brave Warriors Wednesday, May 5 in Chikuma.

Ravena was in uniform but was not inserted by coach Branislav Vicentic due to his injured left knee as the Neophoenix wrapped up their campaign with a 12-47 record.

The former Ateneo star actually missed the final five games of the regular season after hurting his knee during a match against the Ryukyu Golden Kings last April 14.

“Wish I was able to play more games, but such is life,” Ravena said on his Instagram post which included a team picture inside the locker room following the season finale.

His debut in the Land of the Rising Sun was beset mostly by injuries as Ravena only played 18 games for the Toyohashi City club, averaging 9.1 points on 36-percent shooting with 3.6 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 22.7 minutes.

Visa delays and quarantine protocols all related to the COVID-19 pandemic forced Ravena to miss the first 12 games of San-En’s campaign.

Ravena later missed three games between late-November and early-December after testing positive for the coronavirus before being sidelined for three months due to a fractured finger shortly after the start of the calendar year.
