Even before the pandemic, shedding a few pounds off has been a challenge to everyone with their busy lifestyle. These days, although many of us spend more time at home, going on a diet still poses a great obstacle to accomplish due to the many pandemic kitchen creations. But the thing is that a balanced diet could be as comforting and fulfilling as your favorite indulgences.

Proving just that is former member of K-pop group Girls Generation, Jessica Jung. During her diet week, the Korean-American singer documents what she puts on her plate to keep a healthy body. Tasty and colorful, her meals are far from the unappetizing, flavor-lacking food we use to think of when it comes to dieting. By the looks of it, her meal plan is composed mainly of meat, fruits, and vegetables giving her great sources of protein and vitamins, with the right amount of carbohydrates and fats that comes from healthier alternatives.

Avocado Pollock Roe Bibimbap

If letting go of rice is a tall order, this bibimbap will surely give the satisfaction that comes from rice meals without the guilt. Jessica's bibimbap has many elements that are beneficial to the body. Plus, it is easy to make. Her bowl has Konjac brown rice, avocado, pollock roe, egg roll, green onion, and light soy sauce. Delicious, right?

Turkey Avocado Sandwich

A sandwich is a perfect meal to include a diet plan. It can be customized and the best kind always includes the freshest ingredients. For Jessica's sandwich, she opts for rye bread, turkey deli meat, Romaine lettuce, cheese, tomato, and, of course, avocado. She eats it with a pretty kombucha drink on the side, which helps in body detox.

Greek yogurt with Strawberries and Granola

Depriving yourself from sweets will only keep you wanting it more. What you need is to consume it in proper moderation and get it from a more organic-based option. Try Jessica's quick dessert fix made of Greek yogurt, strawberries, granola, and honey. Not only does it hit all the sweet spots but looks good on Instagram.
