Up to P1 million worth of prizes at 2021 Toyota GR GT Cup

The search for the country’s best virtual racers continues, this time, with higher stakes. Toyota Motor Philippines is putting up to P1 million worth of prizes on the line, along with the title and honor of being the victor in this year’s 2021 Toyota Gazoo Racing GT Cup.

The racing event has hopefuls running through different stages to lead the circuit and accumulate points to earn the championship.

Racers are encouraged to accumulate as many points as possible by entering and qualifying for each round from April to June 2021.

Interested players can still join for Round 2 with the Leaderboard race starting on May 28 and the Race Heat landing on May 29. While Round 3 Leaderboard Race lights turn green on June 18, and the Final Heat happens the next day, June 19, where we will find out who will dominate the digital circuit. Both professional and novice drivers can experience the same fun and excitement as the real one.

The more points earned, the more chances of winning bigger and more exciting prizes. Participants can register in eligible classes from Sporting (Professional), Promotional (Non-professional), and Junior (17 years old and below).

It’s not just bragging rights. The overall champion of the National Finals gets a cash prize plus a brand-new Sony PlayStation 5. Second and third placers get enviable gadgets and gear like a high-powered tablet and a much-loved gaming chair respectively.

Finishers of the national rounds, get to share gaming gear and coveted devices including a gaming steering wheel, a portable gaming console, a high-definition gaming headset, top-tier gaming monitors, tablets, smart home devices, and portable action cameras.

A gaming headset, gaming mouse, gaming drive shifter, plus smart home devices are also up for grabs within the Junior and Special racing categories.

The Toyota GR GT Cup is a follow up to Toyota Motor Philippines’ Vios Cup. This new series hopes to bring the joy of Waku Doki to the comforts of viewers and participants’ homes.

“We are eager to bring Waku Doki into Filipino homes especially in these trying times where almost everyone is encouraged to stay safe at home. It is equally a wonderful time for emerging Filipino gamers and champions to hone their talent and win the GR GT Cup. We are excited to meet the fastest Filipino driver this year,” said Toyota Motor Philippine Vice-President for Marketing Services, Elijah Marcial.

The establishment of Toyota Gazoo Racing is a testament to Toyota’s unyielding passion for auto racing. And the GR GT Cup serves as an expansion of their love of building ever-better cars and giving the experience of Waku Doki even for those who aren’t able to push their pedals against the real racing tracks. Even in the heat of speeding in circuits and beyond the limits of the pandemic, Toyota is committed in producing happiness for all.
