Sarah Geronimo’s ‘Tala’ surges anew after online concert

“Tala” is once again tops at the charts.

Sarah Geronimo’s viral hit surges anew, this time topping the listings over at Apple Music’s popular ‘Absolute OPM’ playlists. This after the multi-hyphenate’s successful ‘TALA: The Concert Film’ streamed online last weekend, March 27.

A day after, an audio version of “TALA: The Concert Film” was released on all the popular streaming platforms. The new album compiles much of the songs that was included on Sarah’s setlist for her online concert. Specifically some of her most recent hits that include “Sa Iyo,” “Kilometro,” “Dulo,” “Duyan,” “Misteryo,” “Ikot-ikot,” the Hale-collab “The Great Unknown,” her ‘Miss Granny’ song “Isa Pang Araw,” her cover of “Your Universe” from the ‘Rico Blanco Songbook’ album, “This 15 Me” and of course, “Tala.”

“Tala” was an obvious highlight, a career-defining hit that further established Sarah G’s stature as one of, if not the biggest pop star in OPM today. The original music video for said track has over 172 million views on YouTube and holds the record for most watched OPM music video.

“TALA: The Concert Film” album is Sarah Geronimo’s much awaited return to the concert scene. This special one-off is a milestone for Sarah's career seeing as it the first digital concert for the popstar royalty and is the first release of new performances after a while from Sarah in this age of Covid 19 lockdowns and restrictions.
