The DOJ is under lockdown until Tuesday, March 23, due to COVID-19 infections with a total of 45 active cases.

Villar said the rest of those infected are undergoing home quarantine.

Last Saturday, March 20, Justice Secretary Menardo I. Guevarra expressed alarm over the rising cases of COVID-19 infections at the DOJ.

Guevarra said he will wait recommendations for the possible extension of the lockdown beyond March 23.

During the lockdown period, employees were required to work from home except for skeletal staff to attend to urgent matters.
