In it weekly weather outlook released on Friday, March 19, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the whole country may continue to experience generally "fair" weather aside from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the prevalence of the warm easterlies on Saturday, March 20.

By Sunday, PAGASA said the amihan will likely bring cloudy skies and rains over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, Mountain Province, and Aurora.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains may also affect Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Nueva Ecija.

Meanwhile, Quezon, Albay, Catanduanes, Camarines Norte, Camarines Sur, Sorsogon, and Masbate will have cloudy skies due to the tail-end of frontal system or "shearline," which is the boundary between the cold amihan and warm easterlies.

PAGASA said the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

By Monday until Tuesday, March 22-23, PAGASA said the amihan will likely affect the whole Luzon, bringing rains over Aurora, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Bulacan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bataan, Zambales, and Nueva Ecija will have isolated light amihan rains.

"The shearline will persist over the eastern part of Southern Luzon that will give rise to scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms over Quezon, Bicol region, and Eastern Visayas," PAGASA said.

"The rest of the country will experience fair weather conditions except from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms," it added.

PAGASA said the amihan may start to weaken by Wednesday until Thursday, March 24-25.

It said cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and isolated thunderstorms may affect Quezon, Aurora, Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya.

Other parts of northern Luzon will have isolated light rains due to the amihan, while the rest of the country will have fair weather aside from isolated rain showers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon or evening.

PAGASA said that by Friday, March 26, the entire country will experience generally fair weather, aside from brief rain showers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

"Tropical cyclone development is less likely throughout the outlook period," it added.
