Continuing their successful design partnerships, Jil Sander and Uniqlo will launch a new spring-summer collection on March 19, 2021.
The +J spring-summer 2021 collection captures the emerging from the darkness of winter and enjoying the energy and lightness of spring. Reduced to their purest form, sharp silhouettes display an airy clarity. “The overall idea is sophistication,” says Jil Sander. “A kind of purity that lets us think of regeneration and a fresh start.”
The collection's silhouette infuses essential pieces with versatility and practicality for life outdoors while the colors reflect the chromatic palette of northern lights including indigo, ivory, caramel, gray, and khaki.
For women, lightweight techno silk blends are the highlight with the use of Supima cotton for their Dolman sleeve shirts and oversized half-sleeved t-shirts. The high point for the men's line is the tailoring as featured on the hooded long coat with a pale grey texture, displaying a carefully sculpted 3D volume. The classic polo is defined by a crisp fit while the denim jeans exhibit a cool, straight silhouette.
