In an advisory, BuCor said “a measure of discipline and decorum shall be expected from the applicants.”

BuCor, however, it did not say how many corrections officers it needs for this year.

“As a reminder, health protocols are still in place to combat the COVID-19 (corona virus disease 2019) pandemic, as such, please ensure you follow the minimum safety precautions for the safety of all,” it said.

BuCor emphasized the strict compliance with the guidelines, especially the guide to filling out the Personal Data Sheet (PDS), as application folders will not be accepted due to any lacking documentary requirements or incorrectly filled out PDS forms.

It also informed applicants that the waiver form should also be notarized after being filled out and signed.

Applicants may submit their applications and documentary requirements to the Human Resource Division of BuCor’s national headquarters in Muntinlupa City.

They may also make submissions to the other human resources units at the BuCor’s six prison facilities -- the Correctional Institution for Women in Mandaluyong City; Sablayan Prison and Penal Farm in Occidental Mindoro; Iwahig Prison and Penal Farm in Puerto Princesa, Palawan; Leyte Regional Prison in Abuyog, Leyte; Davao Prison and Penal Farm in Panabo City, Davao del Norte; and San Ramon Prison and Penal Farm in Zamboanga City.
