LOOK: Marugame Udon supports Resto Ph's influencers call out

Marugame Udon, the Japanese restaurant where influencer duo Chuck and Joe did a controversial TikTok video of taking out extra condiments, thanked Resto Owners of the Philippines (Resto Ph) through an uploaded short message on their Facebook page Marugame Philippines

“We would like to thank the whole group of Resto Ph, especially its leaders, for defending and supporting our restaurant and the whole industry especially during these trying times,” Marugame said on their thank you note.

Known for its freshly made Sanuki-style udon, Marugame Udon reminded the group that they all should be mindful and self-conscious of their condiments’ consumption and wastes.

The udon and tempura resto named after Marugame, a city in Kagawa Prefecture popular for the best thick wheat flour noodles, also wrote: “We will continue to serve our customers the best that we can in spite of the challenges the pandemic has brought to the restaurant business.”

Spanky Enriquez, one of the Resto Ph admins who initiated the call-out, reposted the note on the private Facebook group with an all caps one-liner caption proposing a toast of victory, “CHEERS, RESTO PH!!!”
